LoveJoy Community Services is a non-profit organization that provides residential care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our passion for supporting and empowering individuals in a community setting started with one facility in 2007 which has grown into four residential care homes in the Detroit and Lansing, MI areas. We recently won an award for Ladybug Sustainable Communities and are working towards diversifying our housing portfolio to include community-based supportive housing. Our familial atmosphere and dedication to compassionate resident care is what sets our team apart.About this role:The Operations Director will lead and optimize the operations of the organization as we continue to grow. This includes driving execution of the business plan, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overall management and team leadership. This role will also play a key role as Integrator in implementing and integrating the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) into our company culture and operations. In this role, which reports to the President with dotted line reporting to our Visionary, you will:
  • Align with our organization's mission and thrive in a challenging, dynamic, and diverse environment.
  • Use your Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of management experience in a healthcare setting to provide thought leadership and drive implementation of short and long-term strategic plans focused on providing supportive housing and care.
  • Use your strong leadership, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills to provide day-to-day leadership, development, and engagement of a geographically dispersed staff across operations and programs.
  • Leverage technology and introduce standard processes to manage, secure, and report on a variety of organizational data to stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure that facilities and equipment are properly maintained for seamless service delivery to our residents.
  • Manage new housing programs, ensuring clearly defined team roles, on-time and on-budget deliverables, and delivery of quality care.About what we offer:
