Operations Director (Research Assistant Professor)US-NY-BronxJob ID: 2024-16954Type: Research# of Openings: 1Category: FacultyAlbert Einstein College of MedicineOverviewThe MRRC houses a state-of-the-art Philips 3 Tesla MRI human scanner, a Bruker 7 Tesla MRI animal scanner, and a Siemens INVEON PET/SPECT/CT animal scanner. The MRRC currently supports 32 projects funded by $31.5 million of NIH grants. Projects span multiple disciplines including neurology/neuroscience, aging/dementia, cancer, cardiology, ophthalmology, MSK, and diabetes.Einstein is nationally recognized for breaking new ground in research, training the next generation of research leaders, and delivering science-driven, patient-centered care. Einstein is part of Montefiore Medicine, one of the largest health systems in the New York City metropolitan area that serves a large and diverse patient population. Submit CV and names/emails of three references with subject line: MRRC Operation Manager to Tim Duong, PhD ().ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the MRRC Director, the Operation Director is responsible for maintaining the MRI facility and running the day-to-day operation of the facility.Supervising and training MRI technologists and research staff of the MRRC.Maintaining and upgrading the facility and peripheral equipment to the 3T human MRI scanner (Philips), as well as peripheral lab equipment, computers and software.Actively seeking opportunities for scientific advancement of core and maintaining awareness of new technologies.Monthly billing for services via iLab core facility management software.Ensuring that all expenses and revenues are reviewed and deemed appropriate.Working with Einstein IT to manage user data pipelines and access to data storage and computational resources.Maintaining an MRI safe environment for co-workers, research subjects, and personnel.Administering various aspects of research programs including submission reviews, compliance education, and project protocols.Ensuring investigators and key personnel complete required training. Monitors research subject care and use to ensure safety measures are met.Serving as primary contact with users, other College departments, units, and external organizations to understand research requirements and provide estimates and timelines for completion of projects.Performing related duties as assigned.QualificationsQualifications: (1) PhD in MR physics or engineering, (2) expertise in MR system hardware and software usage, application and development, preferably on Philips and/or Bruker scanners, and (3) 3 to 5 years of experience in supporting MRI systems for research.Minimum Salary Range: USD $160,000.00/Yr.Maximum Salary Range: USD $160,000.00/Yr.Apply Here: #J-18808-Ljbffr
