Position Summary The Operations Lead is responsible for the essential functions that keep their specific department running. They will oversee the overall quality and performance of their assigned area. The Operations Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth production operations, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating the team. Schedule: 1st Shift (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Including but not limited to:
- Loading HPP torpedoes.
- Unloading HPP torpedoes.
- Standing Bottles up on conveyors.
- Running the Jet Coder to date bottles, packaging etc.
- Making/pre-building boxes.
- Bringing in fiber/packaging materials for the lines.
- General labor related to the Bottling, HPP, Packaging and Pack Out process.
- General labor related to shipping/pack-out/receiving/inventory, etc.
- Building pallets, lifting, moving/stacking cases up to 50 lbs.
- Assisting with pre-shifts/stretches/passdowns.
- Making sure carriers are full to help conserve water.
- Complete monthly safety tailgates.
- Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines when in the plant.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Documentation:
- Ensure operators complete HPP forms accurately.
- Accurately update and track Pack Out spreadsheet.
Job QualificationsExperience: 2+ years of manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred and experience with NetSuite.Additionally, 2+ years of forklift experience and CPG industry experience are a plus. Knowledge: Computer knowledge, and proficiency in using training software and learning management systems (LMS). Language Skills: Ability to communicate, read, listen, and understand English. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus. Other Abilities:
- Ability to assess training needs and develop relevant content.
- Ability to work well under time constraints and prioritize work to meet commitments/deadlines.
- Ability to work cross-functional with other departments.
- Must be able to work independently with moderate supervision.
Working and Environmental Conditions The position requires work in a wet refrigerated manufacturing facility with temperatures below 40°F. Additionally, tasks may occasionally be performed in a dry warehouse environment with temperatures reaching up to 85°F and/or occasional exposure to freezer warehouse conditions at -10°F. Work areas may be tight and will require continuous exposure to noisy environments exceeding 85 dBA. Strict adherence to safety protocols is mandatory, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed shoes. The role demands the ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and safely. This position may require forklift certification, operation, and adherence to strict safety protocols to maintain certification and prevent accidents and injuries. Basic knowledge of forklift maintenance, routine inspections, and precise loading/unloading of materials is essential. Physical Demands Must be able to stand and walk for the entirety of the shift. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs with continuous motion. Must be able to push/pull 100lbs with continuous motion. Must be able to navigate manufacturing equipment and facilities including repetitive bending, kneeling, reaching over head with both arms, stooping, squatting, and twisting. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and work at heights when needed. Must be able to regularly use hands to handle, grasp and control objects with good gripping strength and manual dexterity. Must be able to occasionally sit to perform desk work using a computer. Occasional exposure to moving machinery. Must be able to pass a fit-for-duty physical exam. Benefits Come join the Suja Life!
