Our client is looking for an Operations Lead to bring organization to this rapidly growing AI startup. This role is ONSITE 5 days a week in their office in San Francisco, CA.If you prefer working in a remote or in a hybrid setting, we would not recommend applying.The team is extremely dedicated to the growth they are experiencing and as such work long hours and leave work late at night. As a result of being an early-stage startup, they don't want to hide this reality from prospective candidates: raw hours make a big difference in the impact they can make right now. So, the team works through most evenings and on some weekends, but it's driven by personal ambition. No one will tell you how many hours to work, but the team has rocketship speed.The RoleWe are seeking an exceptionally organized and dedicated individual to work side by side with the CEO, who oversees operations in both London and San Francisco. This role demands a highly professional, proactive, and versatile individual who can keep pace with a fast-moving environment. The ideal candidate will be a master multitasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude.Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all departments and processes within the startup. Strategic Planning: Work closely with the CEO and other key stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives aligned with the company's goals and vision. Financial Management: Manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement or cost optimization. Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members. Foster a positive and collaborative work culture. Business Development: Identify and pursue growth opportunities, including potential partnerships, collaborations, and expansion into new markets or verticals. Risk Management and Compliance: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize internal processes and workflows to increase efficiency and productivity. Communication and Stakeholder Management: Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including investors, partners, customers, and employees. Maintain open and transparent communication channels. Scaling Operations: Develop and implement scalable systems and processes to support the startup's growth and expansion. Strategic Decision-Making: Provide input and insights into key strategic decisions, leveraging data and market trends to drive informed choices.Who We Are Looking For: Proven track record in a senior operational role, ideally within a fast-paced startup environment. Strong leadership and organizational skills with a hands-on approach. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. High level of financial acumen and legal literacy. Passion for innovation and driving growth in a technology-focused company. Ability to work in a dynamic, high-energy environment and adapt to changing priorities. General knowledge of HR practices and global workforce management capability.
