You will report to the Commercial Aftermarket Operations Director and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, NY. You'll be responsible for leading and influencing a highly effective, results-oriented team of professionals. As a global MRO organization, the operations function has may customers with varying needs; it is the responsibility of the Operations Manager to align processes and initiatives with Sector strategy.To be considered for the Operations Manager role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:At least 5 years' experience as a Manager in a leadership role. Requires a Bachelor's degree.Proven track record of leading change and driving improvement in business/operations performance.Demonstrated business acumen, with the ability to engage the right organizational resources to quickly and effectively resolve customer problems.Strong leader of people and team builder, as well as an excellent communicator at all levels both internally and externally. Relevant industry experience is highly desirable. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an appropriate balance of strong process leadership and relationship building with customers (both internally and externally).Proven capabilities in managing and working collaboratively within a multicultural geographically dispersed environment.Experience in budgeting and cost control management. Strong analytical abilities and ability to prioritize, coordinate and manage complex operational issues and processes.Demonstrated experience in enacting lean manufacturing strategies and continuous improvement.Ability to influence all functions within the Group that impact operations.As an Operations Manager, you will:Have overall responsibility for the Sector's employee safety, product quality, repair station delivery performance and cost performance. You'll lead various weekly Sector delivery/factory health meetings.Monitor Sector cost performance by platform and part number as well as overall Sector cost performance.Coach, develop and manage a team of 4-6 Process Managers and their teams of Assembly and Test Technicians (80-110 technicians).Create and implement Sector metrics which measure the health of the Sector, including on time delivery and past due burndown.Coordinate Sector's operations input to the S&OP process. Ensure adequate capacity exists to perform the committed work. Ensure repair operations are sized appropriately for demand load and cost targets. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
