Operations Manager - RecruitMilitary Placement Services : Job Details

Our Client is looking for an Operations Manager who under the direction of the Plant Manager, coordinates a three-shift, year-round frozen repackaging operation, insuring the repackaging of safe, quality products within established cost standards and service levels. Participates in the facility safety program to direct and implement safety policies and programs to achieve established goals and provide a safe, efficient environment for all employees. Participates in the quality systems program to direct and implement quality system policies and programs to achieve the production of safe, quality products. Maintenance support to the entire facility on a 24-hour basis, 7 days a week. Responsibilities include the overall coordination and supervision of the maintenance effort as it pertains to all areas of the facility.Directs and supervises the scheduling of the frozen repackaging operation to maintain on-time customer deliveries within established cost standards.Directs and supervises the ordering and receiving of all poly and fiber required for the repackaging operation through the Poly Room Coordinator to maintain on-time customer deliveries with minimal capital employed.Directs and supervises all activities of the three-shift frozen repackaging operation through the team leaders to include training, motivation, safety compliance, and regulatory compliance to insure the repackaging of safe, quality products within established cost standards and service levels.Provide daily assignment(s) and follow up to the maintenance team.Oversee direction of the facility preventative maintenance schedule.Provide support and training to machine line operators.Provide performance feedback to maintenance team members as required (Daily, Merit, and Annual Performance Reviews).Provide expertise on equipment changes within the facility.Act as project manager for designated capital projects.Exercise fiscal awareness in terms of budget constraints while accomplishing department and facility objectives.
