Job Title:Operations Manager FLSA:ExemptPosition Type:Full timeDepartment:Warehouse FixedReports to:VP of OperationsCore FocusThe Operations Manager leads the warehouse and apparel embellishment production teams, optimizes workflows, develops strategic plans, and ensures the effective implementation of processes to enhance productivity and quality. This role ensures an efficient, safe, and cost-effective operation, while maintaining high-quality standards, meeting delivery timelines, and driving continuous improvement.The Operations Managers directs day-to-day operations by measuring KPIs, progress on key initiatives, and adjusting processes to support the company's goals. Job DescriptionRole and Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the company, including warehousing, scheduling, production and managing outside partners (Production Art team).
  • Manage and build appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) for production efficiency, quality, and costs.
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate operational challenges and work with the team to develop actionable corrective plans.
  • Manage the tracking of production progress and implement strategies to address any delays or inefficiencies.
  • Manage labor resources efficiently and ensure adequate staffing levels for peak production times.
  • Lead quality assurance programs by creating a culture that sets & exceeds goals, conducts root cause analysis, and solves systemic quality issues.
  • Ensure the facility complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maximize use of existing ERP and production related systems. Recommend/employ additional technology where appropriate and practical.
  • Develop and maintain custom portals and QlikSense dashboards.
  • Responsible for being up to date with new industry techniques/equipment.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance operational processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and promote best practices in production.
  • Maintain communication with other departments to identify and solve operational issues.
  • Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure designs are feasible for embellishment and meet client specifications.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Sales teams to ensure customer orders and specifications are met.
  • Address any customer complaints or concerns related to product quality, production delays, or other issues.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production performance and overall operational performance to senior management.
  • Provide strategic input and leadership on issues affecting the organization.
  • Foster a positive working environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and innovation.
  • Coach, train, and evaluate team members' performance.
  • Oversee, update, and maintain written processes, policies, and SOP's.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing or related field.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in production or operations management within the apparel or embellishment industry.
  • Experience with production scheduling, workflow optimization, and resource management.
  • Knowledge of quality control principles and production safety standards.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Extensive experience using ERP/WMS systems with labor management systems experience
  • Strong knowledge of production and warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and quality.
  • Experience managing large groups
  • Proficient in using technology related information/tools, such as: Microsoft Excel, Visio, Outlook, PowerPoint, PowerApps, QlikSense/PowerBI.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma are a plus.

  • This job operates in a professional office environment.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and fluctuating temperatures.
