Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee our production processes, manage resources effectively, and drive continuous improvement in our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing management, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. The person will have a proven track record that aligns with our Core Values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Management/Material Flow: Ensure efficient material flow and production scheduling to meet customer requirements and minimize delays.
  • Resource Management: Manage materials, workforce, tooling, suppliers, and other assets to optimize output and reduce costs while maintaining quality.
  • Quotes and Estimates: Responsible for estimating production time for quotes and estimates, contributing to product development and innovation.
  • Quality Control/Quality Management System (QMS): Oversee the quality control processes and maintain compliance with quality management systems to ensure product excellence.
  • Safety: Uphold the highest standards of workplace safety, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and fostering a safety-first culture.
  • Change Leadership: Lead and manage change in the organization by implementing new processes and technologies that improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Capital Investment Plan: Contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive capital investment plan to support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Supervisory/Coaching Experience & Capability: Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities to staff to build a high-performing team.
  • Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Definition/Documentation: Define and document standard operating procedures to standardize operations and ensure consistency across the board.
  • Manufacturing Operations Business Continuity: Develop and maintain a business continuity plan to ensure operations can continue smoothly under various scenarios.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing operations management role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific quality and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, reduce costs, and improve processes.
