Job Summary: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Operations Manager to oversee and optimize daily operations within our chemical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining safety standards, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing operations. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of chemical production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the chemical manufacturing plant, ensuring the smooth flow of production.
- Manage production schedules, staffing, and resource allocation to meet production goals.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards, including safety protocols and health guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and supply chain teams to improve processes and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Lead a team of supervisors and operators, providing training, support, and performance feedback.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Manage inventory control, raw material procurement, and waste management processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of chemical production processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
