TITLE: Operations Planning Manager

LOCATION: Carson City, NV

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Direct Hire

PAY: $100,000-$124,000

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking an Operations Planning Manager for a thriving aerospace manufacturing company in Carson City, NV! As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and managing the SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) production and inventory strategies to support supply chain optimization. You will proactively identify and address risks related to service, costs, and inventory, ensuring seamless execution across both short- and long-term planning horizons.

  • Develop and implement SIOP production and inventory plans to drive supply chain excellence.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to service levels, cost, and inventory within the SIOP and operational timeframes.
  • Lead and facilitate SIOP and execution-focused supply chain meetings.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and provide strategic leadership for production planning, scheduling, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving teams.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration among teams (Procurement, Supplier Quality, Production, Sales, Engineering) to enhance performance in the SIOP process and the order-to-delivery cycle.
  • Guide the implementation of new systems, including ERP, production scheduling, and warehouse management tools.
  • Lead and develop both direct and indirect reports, ensuring continuous functional improvement and fostering individual growth.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and report any suspicious or hazardous conditions promptly.
  • Uphold safety and quality standards by complying with company policies and procedures.
  • Support efforts to maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work environments.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Masters degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience using supply chain systems such as ERP, supply planning, demand planning, and warehouse management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading business process and business improvement.
  • 10 years of experience in planning, procurement, forecasting, industrial engineering or other operational experience
  • Aerospace experience highly preferred
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification preferred
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Systems implementation experience (ERP, production scheduling, warehouse management) helpful
