APPLY NOW!2024 Salary Range: $90,178.00-$139,407.00/Year (includes locality)Posting Open: 11/1/2024Posting Close: 11/8/2024In this position, you'll serve as an Operations Research Analyst, working under the guidance of senior analyst(s), you'll apply a range of analytical, mathematical, and/or statistical theories, principles, and practices to plan, coordinate, and execute segments of complex studies as well as participating in special initiatives and projects for the Air Force Sustainment Center Logistics Directorate Studies & Analysis organization, located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Requirements:-U.S Citizenship-Obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance as condition of employment-This is designated a Drug Testing Position-DAWAI certification - This position has been designated as an Non-Critical Acquisition Position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The selectee must meet, or be capable of achieving the APDP certification as designated on the position description within the defined grace period for that certification level after assignment. This position also requires the employee to engage in acquisition continuous learning activities achieving 80 Continuous Learning points every 24 months.-A Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited institution in operations research or mathematics, computer science, one of the physical sciences, engineering or a closely-related scientific discipline is highly desired.-Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:-Professional knowledge of a wide range of principles, concepts, and practices of operations research analysis to apply scientific methods and techniques to analyze systems, processes, and/or operational problems and procedures.-Knowledge of mathematics and analysis to perform studies and prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence to communicate recommendations/conclusions clearly.-Knowledge of quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions.-Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply operations research rules and procedures in a variety of situations and recommend solutions to senior analysts.-Ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors and fundamental relationships, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions.- Ability to plan and organize work, and confer with co-workers effectively.Click the apply button to complete an application and upload resume (PDF or Word Doc) and/or additional documents (Transcripts, certifications, Vet Docs (DD214), SF-50).To receive additional information about current and future job openings with AFCS via email notification, please register at and sign up to Get Career Updates.
