Job Title Operations Research Data Location Oklahoma City, OK 73169 US (Primary) Education Bachelor's Degree Job Type Full-Time Travel 0 - 25% Clearance Type Required Public Trust Job Description JMA Solutions has an opportunity available for a remote Operations Research Analyst/Data Scientist to provide training data analysis and data management support for the FAA's Technical Training program to support existing and new training-related metrics and reports on Air Traffic Control and Technical Operations training. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Provide support for the development, execution, and maintenance of dashboards, data visualizations, descriptive and predictive analytics, advanced analytics, databases, and other data analytics products.
- Assemble and transform large, complex data sets, including structured and unstructured data
- Develop and maintain data pipeline and database architecture required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources and environments.
- Define, develop, execute, and interpret data models and queries.
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy and integrity.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency by conducting data audits and implementing data governance processes.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new and existing data sources and data analytic techniques and products.
- Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and assist in remediating issues with data accuracy, integrity, security, and other data, analytics, and visualization issues.
- Develop and maintain accurate and current technical and user documentation and specifications of data models and visualizations.
- Analyze large and complex data sets and develop data solutions to identify patterns, trends, and draw insights to support business decisions.
- Define, develop, execute, and maintain new and existing visualizations and reports that effectively communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop and manage a repository of data visualizations and templates.
- Attend meetings with stakeholders to gather, understand, and elaborate business requirements for data analytics and visualizations. Provide minutes/decision notes within three (3) business days after each meeting.
- Generate and maintain technical specifications and user documentation to design or redesign visualizations and data analytics products.
- Establish and maintain a requirement register to support the design/redesign and development of visualizations and data analytics products. Provide routine status and reports on requirements in the requirements register.
- Provide bi-weekly Requirement Register Summary Report written routine status and reports on requirements in the requirements register.
- Use project management techniques to document user needs, ensure action items are tracked, and support implementation plans.
- Conduct demonstrations, validation, and acceptance of data visualization and data analytics products.
- Routinely monitor, identify, and troubleshoot data-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Conduct testing and validation of visualization and data analytics solutions to ensure their effectiveness and accuracy.
- Adhere to data security and privacy policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations. Assist in developing and implementing data security measures in accordance with security requirements to manage user access to data at all levels.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish technology solutions and keep technology current and in compliance with standards at all levels. Perform routine revisions and updates to technology used and maintain system document development and control.
- Monitor compliance with data and technology security, standards, and policies and report on performance.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: The ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Sciences (e.g., mathematics, physics, meteorology, chemistry, etc.), operations research, economics, computer science, engineering, business, information systems, information technology, management science, or degree in related field. and must possess at least 6 years of experience. Master's Degree in related field may be substituted for Bachelor's degree and 3 years experience. PhD in related field may be substituted for Bachelor's degree and 7 years experience.
SALARY: $95,000-$105,000 depending on experience and education levels. JMA offers a full benefits package including vision, health, dental, life insurance, as well as a 401k match.
