Operations Specialist - Core & Main : Job Details

Job Summary

Provide ERP and/or operational expertise in the Branch. May be involved and, in some circumstances, lead in the creation and implementation of processes that ensure Branch compliance. Identify and analyze ERP and operational inefficiencies to convey and establish best practices.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

* Establishes ERP and/or operational processes and ensures alignment with corporate operational strategies.

* Investigates ERP and/or operational issues and resolves general problems.

* Drives documentation process and evaluates information pertaining to Branch operations.

* Deliver training in a group setting, effectively adapt training content to learners of varying skill level

* Interfaces regularly with clients, customers and/or internal personnel to communicate information.

* Provides training related information and tools.

* May lead and/or assist in the development and distribution of policies, industry standards and regulations.

Preferred Experience

* Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.

* Operations experience.

* Mincron/ERP experience.

Environmental Job Requirements

* Typically located in a comfortable indoor area.

* There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.

* Typically requires overnight travel ~ 75% of the time.

* Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking and/or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Preferred Qualifications

* Well versed in Mincron/Smart Distributor, as well as, Core & Main branch operations.

* Versed in change management and implementing new systems

* Great communicator with experienced team building and presentation skills.

* Enjoys seeking out new and better ways to do something.

* Continuous improvement mindset

* Problem solver - Enjoys helping others.
