Job SummaryReceiving general direction from the Security Operations Manager, incumbent ensures a safe and secure environment, provides protective service and response for protection of the people and property of the Hospital, and is responsible for the overall supervision of his/her assigned shift, personnel, and shift operations.
Essential FunctionsEducation: Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice required or Associate's Degree in Related Field of Study required and Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice preferred or Bachelor's Degree in Related Field of Study preferred.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Security, Law Enforcement or Military required and at least 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity required or 10 years of related experience preferred and 5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesPhysically must be able to lift 50 lbs. Ability to stand/walk for a minimum of 8 hours. Ability to run to any emergency within the hospital and adjoining campuses and be able to verbally and physically control an emergency situation upon arrival if necessary. Strong sight and hearing abilities needed in order to effectively deal with diverse and emergency situations.
