Inlet Energy provides outstanding customer service to retail, commercial, and government customers in Alaska. Inlet's team of experts has the most Certified Lubrication Specialists (CLS), Oil Monitoring Analysts (OMA-1), and Machine Lubricant Analysts (MLA) in the state. Inlet Energy is based out of Anchorage with operations in Kenai, Fairbanks, and Prudhoe Bay. The inlet is also a major fuel distributor for the road system from the Kenai Peninsula to Fairbanks. Job Summary: The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all lubricant delivery operations, warehouse operations, and customer service. This role involves direct supervision of employees, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations, maintaining facility conditions, and encouraging customer relationships. Essential Functions:
- Support the recruitment, hiring, and training of CDL drivers (Class A/B), warehouse staff, and customer staff while promoting the company's core values.
- Supervise day-to-day activities of CDL drivers in order to ensure safe and timely delivery of dispatched loads, address customer concerns, and handle complaints.
- Monitor equipment status and perform preventative maintenance to maximize operational uptime and control costs.
- Conduct facility maintenance inspections and address minor repairs to maintain smooth fuel distribution operations.
- Monitor customer fuel requirements and pricing, identifying opportunities to expand the customer base.
- Enforce company safety policies and programs, conduct safety inspections, and report concerns to the appropriate channels.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, maintain fleet maintenance records, and schedule equipment inspections and testing.
- Follow governmental agency regulations (OSHA, EPA, ADEC) and ensure department employees align with expectations.
- Provide direct supervision to distribution employees, mentoring, motivating, and developing staff.
- Conduct driver ride-alongs for training and customer interaction.
- Perform annual performance reviews and recommend salary adjustments based on accomplishments and goal achievement.
- Perform general office maintenance, handle inventory, and occasionally make small (non-CDL) deliveries.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3 years of experience in the petroleum industry or relevant substitute experience.
- Previous supervisory experience is required.
- Knowledge of DOT, Hours of Service, and OSHA/Hazmat regulations.
- Class A CDL preferred.
- Valid Driver's License
- TWIC, Hazmat and Hazwoper can be acquired after hire as needed
- Forklift Certificate can be acquired after hire.
