Position Requirements:
- Manufacturing experience in a union environment.
- Systems experience with SAP.
- Familiarity with desktop applications such as MS Word, Office, and Excel.
- Good communication skills.
- Position is on-site from day one.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve departmental/area goals and objectives.
- Supervise semi to highly skilled production and/or maintenance employees on an assigned shift to ensure the manufacture of products within established delivery, quality, safety, and cost standards.
- Serve as the first-line liaison between production employees and management, representing the company's interests with shop floor staff.
Duties:
- Establish an employee environment focused on communication, feedback, and overall guidance.
- Ensure assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instructions, and tools to successfully perform their jobs.
- Monitor control plans, troubleshoot workmanship problems, and supervise production activities to ensure products meet or exceed quality requirements.
- Administer employee policies, practices, procedures, and work rules.
- Monitor individual and line performance, take corrective action including discipline as needed, and respond to complaints to ensure adherence to company policies.
- Determine manufacturing and/or distribution priorities based on the production schedule, make daily assignments, fill vacancies, and assign overtime to meet customer delivery dates.
- Plan for maintenance of equipment and facilities to maximize uptime and utilization of capital equipment assets.
- Monitor and make corrections to stay within department operating budget targets.
- Direct departmental continuous improvement plans and activities.
- Implement and monitor safety programs and housekeeping.
Education Preferred:
- College Degree or Equivalent Experience
Years of Experience Required:
- 5+ years of professional experience

- Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
Shift Details:
- 3rd shift runs from 10pm to 6:30am, not including overtime. Employees are expected to be present a little before and after shifts. Start times may vary depending on overtime needs.
- Must be open to working possible overtime variably.
Additional Information:
- Contingent workers will not be driving a Deere vehicle while on assignment.

- Work with the Safety Team to meet company standards and enforce safety regulations to prevent and eliminate injuries.
- Plan for maintenance of equipment and facilities to maximize uptime and utilization of capital equipment assets.
- Manage and control costs to stay within department operating budget targets.
