Covia has an immediate opening for an Operator Coating Plant 2nd Shift role at the Technisand Wedron facility, located in Wedron, IL. The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities:
- Use computer to monitor and operate plant
- Monitor production process, make adjustments as directed
- Complete shift paperwork and documentation
- Maintain quality control processes to ensure production of in spec products
- Operate forklift, skid steer as needed
- Fill raw additives, handle chemicals
- Clean mixers with various hand held tools
- Operate all equipment in a safe manner while maintaining production
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills (email, Windows, Office)
- Prior experience with computer controlled processes
- Ability to climb ladders and rail cars
- Experience operating fork trucks, pallet jack, track mobile, skid steer
- Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools
- Willingness to work rotating shifts if necessary or stay over shift if needed
