Operator (Heavy Equipment) - North Carolina - Rifenburg Companies : Job Details

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Heavy Equipment Operator will operate a variety of equipment including excavators, rollers, loaders, dozers, skidsteers, etc. on construction projects including but not limited to heavy highway, airports, bridges, landfill remediation, etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Operates various equipment including excavators, rollers, loaders, dozers, skidsteers, etc. on a variety of construction projects including but not limited to heavy highway, airports, bridges, landfill remediation, etc.

* Performs routine inspection and maintenance on equipment such as checking oil, water, and tires.

* Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

* Maintains a clean and secure jobsite

* Demonstrates adherence to Rifenburg Safety Rules, Regulations, and internal procedures.

* Demonstrates adherence to Rifenburg core values to foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere

* Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

This position requires extensive knowledge of heavy equipment operations within the construction industry, or similar role. 5-10 years' experience required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

* Extensive knowledge of heavy machinery operation and capabilities; including GPS

* Ability to read blueprints

* Excellent communication skills with a willingness to lead, follow, or share instruction.

* Ability to work in all weather conditions
