Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. As an Operator I you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of production operations and upholding all Product Safety guidelines.What You'll Be Doing:
  • Be familiar with and obey all safety rules.
  • Responsible to correct and/or report all unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Uphold all Product Safety guidelines.
  • Complete all required quality inspection checks at the specified frequencies.
  • Verify each item produced to ensure the correct MM# is run and palletized.
  • Operate the forklift as needed.
  • Interpret and follow the daily production schedule to enable accurate and efficient production and execution of changeovers.
  • Ensure that the assigned work area is clean and set-up with the proper materials for the next scheduled operating shift. Responsible for overall housekeeping and appearance of the assigned work area.
  • Properly handle, sort and/or segregate and contain defective product. Follow all prescribed reject procedures. Responsible for immediately communicating defective production to pertinent operators and supervision.
  • On the depal, tear down one can from each pallet shipped and record the Julian date on the meter sheet. On reworked pallets, write RW next to Julian date on meter sheet.
  • Record the meter reading after each label design shipped and at the end of the shift. Zero meter at the end of the shift.
  • Observe cans being shipped for visual defects. Pull defective cans from the line.
  • Safely and efficiently operator the depalletizer machine.
  • Ensure that the depalletizers are set-up for the next scheduled operating shift.
  • Train co-workers and new hires as needed or directed.
  • Perform rework of defective cans as assigned.
  • Complete all required production paperwork and quality check forms as required.
  • Perform required preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned.
  • Empty trash bins and recycle bins throughout the shift and before the end of the shift.
  • Relieve other operators for break as assigned.
