Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Gund Company has an immediate opening at our Cedar Lake manufacturing plant for a full-time Utility Operator to join our team!Shift: First (7am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri)Hourly Wage: $19-24 Plant/Work Location: 10501-3 W 133rd Ave, Cedar Lake, IN 46303The Gund Company is a manufacturer and fabricator of engineered material solutions specializing in customized insulation parts. With 12 facilities worldwide, we specialize in custom fabricated parts manufactured according to ISO 9001:2015 certified quality systems. We take a consultative, engineering approach to understanding customer needs and have a reputation for outstanding customer service and quality.Job Summary •Operates one or more machines to include but not limited to radial arm saws and shears.•Implement the Production Fulfillment Process for the fabrication of parts according to work order and customer requirements. •Ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with company standards. Job Duties •Operates multiple types of fabrication equipment.•Manually secures work pieces onto machine tables, holding devices, using clamps and wrenches.•Checks parts for conformance to customer specifications.•Maintains counts and performs packaging duties.•Utilize the 6S method to ensure safety and cleanliness.RequirementsJob Requirements •A High School Diploma or GED, preferred but not required •Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
