summary ResourceMFG is looking for Operators in Toledo, OH *FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED Shift: 1st shift 7:00am-3:00pm or 10am-6pm Pay: $18.00 an hour *$23.69 when hired in Job Description: Support manufacturing operations by assisting Machine Operators with batch ingredient weighing, setup, cleaning and preparation of packaging, labeling and transportation of finished goods and other production support tasks as necessary. Essential Functions Assist in the pre-weighing of raw materials per the batch process instructions (requires use of scale), and record batch data. Fill, weigh, package, and label finished products in proper containers. Perform routine quality assurance tests on packaged products. Perform cleaning and proper sanitizing of returnable totes to meet open orders. Material handling duties include picking raw materials and packaging material to and from the storage warehouse as required. Handle empty pallets, sacks, and returnable containers from customers. Discard empty raw material packaging waste after production. Understand and follow all safety rules and regulations at all times. Attain safety, quality and productivity goals. Maintain a safe and clean work area and equipment. Readily assist teammates with cleanup of their work areas. Assist in other general housekeeping duties to achieve plant cleanliness. Clean up and report any spills timely and appropriately. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Able to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs. Able to walk and stand for extended periods. Able to wear or be fitted for a respirator. Able to work flexible hours to be available to work either shift, overtime, or occasional Saturdays as needed. Forklift experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude. Able to work well with others and communicate effectively. Able to read, comprehend, and follow written work instructions, procedures, and work rules. Able to demonstrate understanding of how job performance affects product quality and customer satisfaction. Able to use all weighing equipment. Able to calculate figures such as proportions and multiplication.
