Your Specific Responsibilities:

The employee in this position performs custodian assignments at Manatee County Health Department and is expected to utilize manual skills involving the exercise of physical strength and the ability to perform cleaning duties and moving/lifting of equipment, supplies, furniture, and waste. Work is performed under the direction of OPERATIONS & MGMT CONSULTANT II - SES.

Follow OSHA regulations at all times. Monitors Net Facilities work order system for daily assignments, and special projects. Assist with special projects such as painting, chair set-up for a meeting, relocation of office furniture and supplies. Daily courier duties delivering packages and supply to proper location. Cleaning satellite sites as required. Stock the cleaning cart with safety and cleaning supplies to meet OSHA regulations. Use a blower to remove all debris daily from sidewalk and parking- areas. All bottles filled with chemicals are labeled according to OSHA regulations. Keep public and staff restrooms cleaned and stocked with supplies at all times keep the public area free of trash and debris. Be on call for spot cleaning. Vacuum carpets and fabric furniture. Sweep tile floors, and mop as needed. Clean break rooms daily and, Clean toaster oven, and microwave in break room daily. Disinfect exam rooms and waiting rooms in public areas regularly throughout the day. Clean all flat surfaces (windowsills, ledges, counters, and exam tables). Disinfect these during the day to remove germs. Clean any other related areas to maintain safety and sanitary conditions. Operates vacuum cleaners and buffing machine. Required to use personal protective equipment such as aprons or jackets, goggles, mask etc. when necessary. Keep exterior areas adjacent to entrances/exits cleaned and free of trash and boxes as needed. Change batteries, and air fresheners as needed. Clean conference rooms daily,. Sweep, mop and scrubs floors and polishes floors, and furniture, disposal of bio medical waste. Replaces light bulbs; makes simple repairs to building and cleaning equipment; and reports damages to structure and equipment that require repairs. Vacuum all carpet areas daily. Perform cleaning duties in all buildings.

Main building , 302 building , WIC building, Manatee South.

Drives the mobile units

Helps with outreach setups/breakdowns

Maintains logs of non-technological inventory items in compliance with DOHP 250-11 to assist Manatee County staff in yearly invent, ensuring items are account d, ed for, and requests new asset ID tags from the Clerk of the Court when new inventory items are purchased. Responsible for proper disposition and reporting of property according to CountyState guidelines.

Develops and maintains critical logs, including keys and access cards for the three buildings adding, tracking, and revoking access to the buildings when staff changes ensuring all keys are working, and coordinates with Manatee County Facilities improvements, repairs, and maintenance projects needed by Department of Health in Manatee.

Facilities Maintenance:

Coordinates maintenance through NET FACILITIES for the three buildings occupied by the Department of Health in Manatee to include: semi-annual floor maintenance, extermination, building repairs, and plumbing repairs, all according to contract requirements with Manatee County.

Ensures all Department of Health in Manatee facilities comply with OHSA regulations, including providing labeled safety and cleaning supplies are available, maintaining a current log of all required material safety documentation, and ensuring the inventory level of supplies necessary to maintain the Department of Health in Manatee facilities are ordered and in stock. Prepare purchase requisitions using the My Florida Market Place (MFMP) purchasing system.

Submit county work orders for repairs.

Perform other related duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
