Requisition No: 843476 Agency: Department of HealthWorking Title: OPS OPERATIONS CONSULTANT - 64858490 Pay Plan: TempPosition Number: 64858490 Salary: $20.00 - $22.50/hour based upon experience Posting Closing Date: 12/31/2024 Total Compensation Estimator ToolOPEN COMPETITIVE JOB POSTINGPay offered at $20.00 - $22.50/hour based opon experienceYour Specific Responsibilities: Position will work as a part of the Workforce Relations Section of the Okaloosa County Health Department, under the Direction of the Workforce Relations Section Chief.Plan and coordinate Department training activities and meetings including but not limited to; New Employee Onboarding (NEO), Quarterly Orientations, All Staff Training Days (ASTD), section/program specific training activities or exercises, and other internal meetings and events. Monitor required training using web-based systems and other modalities such as spreadsheets or other documents.Create various types of materials, print and digital, including informational documents, presentations, flyers or other types of visual material.Support and/or participate in a variety of Workforce Development Committee and Employee Satisfaction & Wellness team activities and objectives.Conduct and support routine and episodic projects within the Workforce Relations Section as well as occasionally, other sections/ programs throughout the Department.Provide support in all other areas of the Workforce Relations Section including but not limited to; personnel services, communications, administrative and clerical functions, purchasing, and all other functions as needed.Performs all other duties as assigned in support of the Agency's mission and vision.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience with computer and other office equipment
  • Ability to plan and coordinate the development and implementation of internal meetings or other activities
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision
  • Ability to create a wide variety of materials such as reports, presentations, informational documents, and spreadsheets
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to facilitate groups and engage stakeholders
  • Ability to identify and analyze problems and develop plans or procedures to correct these problems
  • Ability to determine the long-term outcomes of a change in processes or operations
  • Skill in compiling, organizing and analyzing data for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating
  • Experience working with computers and other office or technology equipment
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications required (i.e., Outlook, Team, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business management/administration or closely related field preferred (experience may substitute for degree on a year-for-year basis)
  • 1 year work experience working in an administrative, operations support, or business professional role required
  • Experience planning and/or coordinating meetings, training activities, or other relevant business functions preferred
  • Experience working in a customer service or operations support role preferred
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications required (i.e., Outlook, Team, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
