As an Applications Engineer, you'll work closely with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations teams to solve complex technical challenges across industries like aerospace, medical, automotive, and more. You'll design systems, troubleshoot customer issues, develop training materials, and provide key market feedback to support product innovation and drive business success. Description Responsibilities: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams to create system designs using both analysis and empirical techniques, including cost estimates, to fulfill customer requirements and specifications. Perform in-depth troubleshooting to resolve customer issues related to our applications. Support the marketing and sales efforts of products through professional engagement with both colleagues and customers. Lead the development and planning of advanced training programs and support materials. Foster strong cross-departmental relationships to support research and development initiatives with specialized expertise. Regularly assess current product applications and relay market feedback to both Marketing and Engineering teams. Stay up-to-date on competitive products, sharing relevant insights across the company as needed. Promote the brand presence by leading training seminars, attending trade shows, and engaging in industry conferences. Profile Ideal Candidate: A technical degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D.) from an accredited university, with a strong passion for continuous learning. Experience in photonics-related fields such as optics, radiometry, photometry, color science, imaging systems, remote sensing, sensor design, electronics, electro-optics, integrating sphere design, LEDs, or lasers. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with both customers and team members, along with advanced technical writing abilities. Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, including independent planning and execution. Willingness to travel independently (10%) and adapt to flexible working hours when needed.
