OPTIONS TRADER - Selby Jennings : Job Details

We have recently partnered with a tenured PM at a globally leading hedge fund in NYC who is looking to add an experienced options trader to his team. If you have 1+ years of live options trading experience in a hedge fund, prop trading firm, or at a bank, this is a great opportunity to further your experience in the space working alongside like minded individuals.

Responsibilities:

• Execute equity options using electronic and voice trading
• Make real-time trading decisions based on systematic signals
• Actively manage options portfolio risks
• Design semi-automated process to respond to various market events
• Analyze transaction costs and improve execution quality
• Maintain relationships with a broad set of voice-based liquidity providers (options desks at banks, brokers, etc.)
• Help the team expand trading capacity by responding to flow
• Continuously contribute to the team's investment process
• Help the team expand to different asset classes as well as into semi-systematic trading

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher degree in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, engineering, or other quantitative discipline
• At least one year of work experience as an options trader
• Strong applied knowledge of options risks
• Self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced, high growth, start up environment
• Desire to continuously learn and proactively improve existing processes
• Detail-oriented and vigilant about potential operational risks
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in Python and experience in Linux is a plus
