Optometric Technician (Part-Time)

Location: Petersburg, Virginia

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and friendly Optometric Technician to join our growing team in a part-time capacity. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for eye exams, including taking medical histories and administering pre-testing procedures.
• Operate diagnostic equipment, such as visual field testers, OCT scanners, and retinal cameras.
• Assist in the optical department, including, making orders, and dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an optometric or ophthalmic setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in using computer software and electronic health records.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply.
