Optometrist - EYE CONSULTANTS OF SYRACUSE, PC : Job Details

Eye Consultants of Syracuse is looking for a full-time NYS Licensed Optometrist to join our team. Work Location: Syracuse and Fulton Offices

Responsibilities:

-Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases

- Diagnose and treat visual conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism

- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed

- Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgeries

- Manage and maintain accurate patient medical records

- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and answer any questions or concerns

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed for patient care

Qualifications:

- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the eyes

- Prior experience in optometry is a plus, but we will train

- Proficiency in medical coding and maintaining HIPAA compliance

- Familiarity with ophthalmology procedures and treatments

- Ability to perform eye exams using a variety of diagnostic tools

- Excellent communication, attention to detail and interpersonal skills for patient interactions
