**Order Selector - February**

**Location:** Tyler, TX ****Job Summary****

Responsible for using pallet jack to locate and accurately pull products and prepare pallets according to order for retail store delivery. This position will begin as a trainee and shadow a trainer and other warehouse partners for hands-on training specific to the order selector position (job duties listed below).

****Essential Duties and Responsibilities****

* Receives training and development to gain knowledge and skills in warehouse operations by filling orders for retail stores.

* Uses warehouse communication system to locate and pull products for retail store orders in an accurate, productive, and safe manner.

* Maneuvers pallet jack to stack products onto pallets securely for delivery to store.

* Ensures cases, bales, and containers contain appropriate labels, tags, and information.

* Maintains clean, safe, and sanitary working environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.

* Shrink wraps store orders with label and moves completed orders to the loading dock staging area using pallet jack.

* Reports product discrepancies or quality issues to management including damaged product, equipment issues, etc.

* Demonstrates understanding of the Brookshire Grocery Company training, safety programs concerning the safe operation of powered equipment, and material handling.

* Area of operation may be a grocery or perishable warehouse, depending on role hired for.

* Level of weight that will be handled will depend on results from the passed physical test (medium/heavy).

****Knowledge, Skills and Abilities****

* Basic knowledge of the warehouse communication system and ordering machine.

* Basic mathematical skills.

* Ability to operate a pallet jack.

* Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity.

* Ability to safely operate heavy machinery/hazardous equipment

* Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

* Ability to comprehend and interpret information.

* Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.

* Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems.

* Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.

* Ability to organize, prioritize and manage time.

* Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.

****Education, Experience, and Qualifications****

* High school Diploma or GED preferred.

* Involves on-the-job training as an Order Selector Trainee prior to becoming an Order Selector upon successful completion of training.

* Food Handler certification required.

* Minimum of 18 years of age required.

* Required to pass a physical agility test.

* Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus.

* Continuously required to talk and hear.

* Continuously required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 50 lbs (medium).

* Continuously required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 100 lbs (heavy).

* Continuously required to bend, kneel or squat.

* Continuously required to stand or walk.

* Continuously required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling.

* Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop or crawl.

* Occasionally required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing).
