Summary:The Certified Pharmacy Technician first and foremost is responsible for guest satisfaction. He/She is responsible to the company for the efficient, safe, effective operation of the Pharmacy under direct supervision of a pharmacist at multiple pharmacy locations throughout the organization.Key Responsibilities:
- When a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guest
- Responsible to our guests and for building a reputation for ultimate guest service
- Responsible for handling of prescriptions, counting, labeling and reconstituting prescriptions, inventory management and medication therapy management as allowed by state law
- Maintain confidentiality when handling patient records
- Maintain guest charge and delivery records
- Mail out prescriptions
- Responsible for phone calls to and from provider's offices and guests within scope of practice/license
- Operate personal vehicle in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate transportation log
- Travel to assigned locations within designated region/area to perform job duties
- Adhere to company policies and procedures including safety protocols and regulatory requirements while traveling
- Other duties as assigned by management
Key Requirements:
- A high school diploma, equivalent diploma (e.g., GED), or be working to achieve a high school diploma or equivalent for no more than two years
- Active and in good standing pharmacy technician license issued by the Board of Pharmacy of the state(s) in which you are practicing
- Must maintain required continuing education and renew license as required by State Board
- Must be detail-oriented
- Reliable personal vehicle and ability to travel extensively within designated region/area
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekend and some holidays as required
- Retail pharmacy experiences is a plus
- Must pose knowledge of Pharmacy related law
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, such as bending, standing, squatting, climbing and walking for 8-12 hour period
- Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
- Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
