Position Type: Special Education Date Posted: 9/17/2024 Location: Special Education Services Date Available: 02/26/2024 Closing Date: Open until filled District: Genesee Intermediate School District The Orientation and Mobility Specialist provides instructional services to students with a visual impairment or other students with a disability and visual problems. Provides pre-referral and consultation services to students, parents, and staff. Provides travel techniques to students so they may move independently, safely, and purposely through their environment. Conducts evaluations and provides written reports for Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) meetings, Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), Individualized Education Program Team (IEPT), and related agencies. Available: One (1) full-time position; 7.0 hrs per day, 186 days per year (Academic calendar). Salary: Certified Salary Schedule. Genesee Intermediate Education Association (GIEA). A competitive salary schedule featuring educational pay lanes and steps. Years of service will be considered.
