Orthodontic AssistantGeneral Description:Responsible for patient support, including but not limited to: orthodontic assisting, specialty referrals, monitoring inventory of clinical supplies, oversees preparation of clinical supply orders, provides support for maintenance of clinical equipment, and performs clinical support team assignments. Maintains compliance for IC, OSHA, HIPAA, and safety compliance.Qualifications:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and team
- Ability to meet patients needs in a consistently helpful and professional manner
- Ability to use tact and sensitivity in coaching sessions
- Working knowledge of computers, practice management software, electronic dental records & spreadsheets
- Basic skills certificate DANB Infection control & radiology certified
- Ability to interpret and comply with applicable regulations and guidelines, including HIPAA, CDC guidelines & OSHA
- Well-developed written & oral communication skills
- Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
Job responsibilities:.
- Helps manages clinical supplies & equipment inventory
- Helps maintains clinical equipment
- Maintains compliance with IC, CDC, HIPAA, OSHA,& safety operations
- Maintains records of statistical data as required
- Performs the following: x-ray exposure, monitoring logs & maintenance books, patient preparation & charting, accurate financial documentation, opening & closing of the office.
