The Ortho Team Manager (OTM) is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Ortho team, as well as the management of all non-licensed staff members. Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality, compassionate care is provided to every patient.
- Maintain adequate staffing by recruiting, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
- Foster employee satisfaction and retention through strong communication, recognition, and teamwork.
- Identify staff training needs and implement development plans to meet individual and company goals.
- Supervise, coach, and manage performance, including disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with company HR policies and guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to government regulations, company standards, and compliance programs.
- Achieve team performance goals and maintain office readiness and professional appearance.
- Act as a patient liaison for orthodontic care, answering treatment and financial questions to ensure patients leave well-informed.
- Present treatment plans, explaining costs, insurance, and financing to maximize acceptance.
- Track collections, follow up on outstanding balances, and enforce payment policies.
- Solicit patient referrals and track satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the orthodontist and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years management experience (preferably in healthcare or dental environment)
- Dental Radiation Safety Certification Preferred
- Additional certification may be required dependent upon location
- CPR/BLS certification required
