Nurse Practitioner
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner position is primarily focused on clinical management, favorable impact on quality of care and is responsible to oversee the total care of the Orthopedic patient. The Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner will use a variety of skills to educate, consult and manage the orthopedic patient population and assist the patient/family, the patient care team and physicians.
The Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with the health care team including orthopedic physicians, anesthesiologists, other physicians involved in the orthopedic patient care, nurses, case management, physical and occupational therapy and with departments affecting the care of the Orthopedic patient. The Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner will act as a clinical educator working with staff on orthopedic competencies, new procedures and advanced practice skills. The Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner will work with the orthopedic surgeons to implement necessary medical aspects of care including discharges and pain management.
The Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner will use these skills to affect a quality patient experience.
Physician Assistant
POSITION SUMMARY:

Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $113,373 through $127,494 annually. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team members compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
Qualifications:Nurse Practitioner
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioners Program with preferenced clinical focus on Orthopedics, Acute Care, Critical Care and / or Surgery
Current A.N.P. Licensure in New York State
Successful completion and maintenance of Board Certification in Adult Nursing as a practitioner (general or specialized) from the ANCC or the AANP within one year of hire
Collaborative Practice Agreement with the Medical Director of the Orthopedic Program
Current BLS Certifications required. ACLS, ATLS & PALS Certification preferred.
Physical Requirements: Stands, walks, sits intermittently throughout the day. Lifts,pushes, pulls light to heavy weights as required.
Working Conditions: Work is primarily indoors with exposure to various nursing unit and/or patient care elements. Travel to outside facilities is required.
Physician Assistant
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an Accredited Physicians Assistant Program with clinical focus on Orthopedics or more than 5 years of direct patient care in the field of Orthopedics.
Current Physicians Assistant Licensure in New York State
Successful completion and maintenance of National Commission on Certification of PAs
Supervising Practice Agreement with the Medical Director of the Orthopedic Program or their designee within the scope of practice of such supervising physician
Current BLS Certifications required. ACLS, ATLS & PALS Certification preferred.
Physical Requirements: Stands, walks, sits intermittently throughout the day. Lifts,pushes, pulls light to heavy weights as required.
