Outdoor Living Design / Build Sales Representative
Job Summary:
Kentucky Outdoor Living, located in Lexington KY, is a growing, landscape construction company serving the greater Kentucky area. We create custom designs our constructions teams can produce in house making KOL the top design build company in Kentucky. We are currently looking for an outside sales representative to keep up with demand and create new client awareness. The Outdoor Design / Build Sales Representative responsible for designing and selling outdoor construction projects such as:
- Design Packages
- Landscape Plantings
- Landscape Lighting
- Water Features
- Paver Patios & Driveways
- Outdoor Kitchens
- Pergolas
- Cabanas
- Pools (Vinyl, Fiberglas, Gunite)
- Decks
- Covered Structures
- 3 to 4 Season Rooms
- Artificial Turf / Putting Greens
- Retaining Walls
General Accountabilities:
- Call to schedule customer appointments and manage clients through our CRM process.
- Develop new clients through cold calling and networking events 6 to 12 times a month.
- Able to sketch or create detailed drawings to present to clients and construction crews.
- Estimates or quotes prices, credits or contract terms, warranties, and checks projected availability / delivery dates.
- Propose $60,000 to $80,000 per week selling a minimum $20,000 per week.
- This role will be responsible for hitting an annual sales target of $1,000,000 during the first year.
- Answers customer's questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and contract terms.
- Consults with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Someone in this role has the potential of directing the sales department as we grow.
- Striving for self improvement and listening to KOL assigned podcasts for sales growth.
Job Qualifications:
- Have 3 years minimum years experience in the landscape industry (preference given to those with industry experience and certification)
- Have a 2 year minimum of face to face sales.
- Can read blueprints and complete successful project take offs for proposals.
- Comfortable working outside in any weather condition as well as sitting inside at a desk for extended periods.
- Comfortable with using and learning new technology.
- Can multi-task in order to sell several jobs per week.
- Have strong documentation and organizational skills

6% Commission on KOL Provided Leads
8% Commission on Self-Generated Leads
10% Commission on all Design Services Sold
