The Outdoor Programs Coordinator provides support to the Assistant Director of Outdoor Programs in managing the daily functions of that area. Including, assisting the Assistant Director and student groups with financial services, office operations, outdoor trip logistics, and administrative support. This position is a part-time, benefit eligible position with a hiring range of $19.26-$23.59. It is a term-limited position ending May 31st, 2026 and is scheduled at 30 hours per week.Core Responsibilities:
- Oversees the day-to-day financial activities of Outdoor Programs to include assisting student organizations with management of budgets, tracking account balances, compliance with College financial policies, and arranging all payments needed to support various programs and events.
- Coordinates the recruitment and hiring process for student employees with direction from the Assistant Director.
- Oversees the scheduling of student staff for the climbing wall, gear room, and bike shop.
- Manages inventory and operating budget for facility upkeep and purchasing supplies as needed.
- Maintains electronic records of programs, trips, post-program evaluations, accidents and incidents related to Outdoor Programs.
- Support logistics related to outdoor trip programming throughout the year.
Requirements
- Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills required, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ability to learn Drupal and Oracle.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required.
- Experience in a busy office environment preferred.
- Must have ability to work independently, handle frequent interruptions, and juggle multiple tasks at the same time.
- Must also be detail oriented.
- Must have interest in the learning and development of students.
