ReconCraft is seeking an Outfitter I to be responsible for assembling and outfitting newly manufactured vessels. Duties include installation of all parts, equipment, components, hardware, and accessories as part of a vessel manufacturing production line.Responsibilities (include but are not limited):
- Assembling/testing of parts using drawings and bills of material
- Point-to-point wiring
- Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods including crimping and soldering
- Using common hand and power tools
- Familiarity with mechanical assemblies
- Following documented procedures in fitting, adjusting and ensuring proper function of parts
- Measurements with calipers, tape measures, various gauges, and other devices
- Performing minor adjustments to tools and equipment
- Inspection of assemblies
Requirements:
- Education:
- High school graduate or GED
- Required Knowledge/Experience:
- Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
- Recent experience outfitting and assembling vessels or similar systems
- Installing outboard and inboard motors
- Installing waterjets, stern drives, and other similar propulsion systems
- Installing marine electronics
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
- ABYC certifications are a bonus
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs
- This position requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing, and visual acuity
- Must also be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to complete tasks
