Outpatient Mental Health Therapist - Power Play Therapy and Counseling : Job Details

Power Play Therapy and Counseling offers outpatient mental health services, providing play therapy to children and trauma therapy to adults. We believe everyone has the ability to heal and we're passionately dedicated to unlocking that power.

Role Description:

This is a hybrid position for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Permit Holder. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing outpatient therapy services to clients, conducting assessments, and designing treatment plans. They will also maintain client records and collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Mental Health Counseling or related field
• Must be a LMHC or LMHC-Permit Holder in New York State.
• At least 1 years of experience in mental health counseling
• Experience with remote counseling is preferred but not required
• Openness to working with children and/or adolescents (Training and Consultation Provided)
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledge of ethical and legal requirements of the mental health profession

Responsibilities:

• Provide outpatient therapy to children, adolescents, and, adults.
• Has a caseload of approximately 15-25 clients per week, though the caseload is flexible and based on your comfort level.
• Remain compliant with documentation, which include assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Maintain HIPAA standards and abide by licensing board code of ethics.
