The University of Tennessee at Martin is seeking a qualified applicant for the full-time position of Outreach Liaison for the Child and Family Grants Program.

The Outreach Liaison is responsible for attending local family-focused events and creating new community resource contacts to share with families participating in service programs sponsored by the Child and Family Grants Program. This position serves as a link between the community and family support staff working in UT Martin's home visitation programs.
Services are provided in Benton, Carroll, Dyer, Henry, Lake, Lauderdale, Obion, Tipton, and Weakley Counties. This regular (100%) position is grant-funded, and continuation of employment is dependent upon grant funding. The official workstation is located at UT Martin with options to work remotely.
Duties Include:
* Attend community meetings to promote program services: Community Advisory Boards (CABs), Prevention Coalitions, Health Councils (engage/participate on Health Council subcommittee teams), and other applicable group meetings where services can be shared.
* Identify agencies/partners within the community and develop schedule for regular in-person contacts to share outreach information.
* Identify partnerships that will allow program to directly engage with client population at partner site (Example: Health Departments, pediatric offices, OB providers, etc.)
* Identify and/or plan opportunities for community events to promote program services and meet potential clients for referrals.
* Coordinate with supervisor and outreach team to ensure a consistent presence is maintained in all counties served.
* Coordinate with team to plan and implement Parent Groups for existing program families on monthly/quarterly basis.
* Develop plans to target counties with lower program participation and implement outreach effort.
* Consider new and innovative ways to distribute promotional information in all counties.
* Maintain communication with program manager, supervisors, and direct service staff to ensure accurate updated program information is being shared with the community.
Qualifications/Competencies:
* Bachelor's degree in communications and/or marketing, public health, human services, early childhood education or other fields related to working with children and families, public education/engagement or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
* Effective written and oral communication skills; public speaking abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
