Outside Sales Manager - SMV Recruiting, LLC : Job Details

SMV Recruiting has an awesome client who is looking for an Outside Sales Manager in Albany, NY. This is a 3rd generation family owned company in the manufacturing and distribution space and is very much rooted in creating a family friendly culture and putting their people first. Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales person to support their existing accounts while continuing to expand their footprint. This role requires strong business acumen, strategic thinking, ability to work independently and excellent communication skills. FYI this is a direct hire role that comes with base + commission, company vehicle, full benefits and a great team!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and cultivate relationships with existing and new customers
• Manage a book of business
• Conduct client meetings, cold calls, follow-up calls, etc.
• Must be strategic and unafraid to find innovative ways to build sales
• Attending networking events and industry conferences
• Cultivate and build strong relationships with customers external and internal, employees and leadership
• Identify areas and ways to increase sales, branch growth, and improving customer service
• Regular review of profitability through contract pricing, budget preparation, revenues & expense for your accounts
• Constantly search for solutions and areas for opportunity & improvement

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates degree desired; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3+ years' experience working in for industrial or manufacturing company
• 4+ years of outside sales experience
• Must have, at the time of hire, and maintain throughout employment, a valid NYS drivers' license free of major infractions
