Job Title: Outside Sales Professional – Building Materials

Position Summary: Seeking a dynamic and results-driven Building Materials Outside Sales Professional. The ideal candidate will be commission driven with proven experience in selling building materials to custom and national builders. It would be ideal for the candidate to have existing relationships with most national builders in the North Carolina area. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying new sales opportunities, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with custom and national builders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets within your assigned territory.

  • Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in building materials to effectively communicate product benefits and applications to clients.

  • Account Management: Manage existing accounts while identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand market share.

  • Customer Support: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery, exceptional service, and client satisfaction.

  • Networking: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company's products and services.

  • Reporting: Track and report sales activities, opportunities, and market trends to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience in the building materials industry, with a focus on custom and national builders.

  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of building materials, construction processes, and industry standards.

  • Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and sales goals.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
