Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Technician to enhance our service capabilities and maintain our reputation as a leader in the field.

Location: Houston, TX

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead cranes and hoists, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues involving motors, variable frequency drives, and control systems.

Collaborate with Service Managers and other team members to discuss findings and make consultative recommendations based on the equipment's condition and safety considerations.

Maintain accurate, neat documentation of all inspections, repairs, and customer interactions in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Utilize company-provided tools and vehicles responsibly to perform tasks at customer locations. Participate in ongoing training and certification to stay current with industry standards and technological advancements.

Support the sales and service departments by providing essential information for quoting repairs and modifications.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years experience as an industrial electrician, with specific expertise in electric overhead cranes and hoists.

Proficient in electromechanical troubleshooting, including 480V, 3-ph motor control, and AC/DC sys.

Strong knowledge of electrical theory for power and controls, mechanical systems of cranes/hoists, and simple structural elements.

Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and perform tasks without prints on occasion.

Must possess a valid driver's license with a clear driving record.

Physical ability to climb cranes and lifts, work at heights, and manage occasional heavy lifting.

Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check; commitment to a drug-free workplace.

Work Environment:

Extensive local travel with occasional overnight stays; company vehicle provided upon qualification.

Varied hours including weekends, as needed, and availability for on-call rotations.
