This community is still under construction with an expected start date for this role on February 17th 2025. This role will spend the first several weeks of employment gearing up to welcome our first residents. The first month of employment may have a varied schedule with various training locations. This is an exciting opportunity to be one of the first employees of the community and to be apart of an amazing team who will care for our residents.
Clarendale West End is recruiting for a hospitality focused Security Guard to join our team! The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents, visitors, staff and protecting Community property. Responsible for verifying the scheduled presence of all employees, and third party contactors on the grounds.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Security Guard: Makes scheduled rounds both inside and outside the buildings to maintain a secure environment for residents and their property as well as company property. Responds to all fire alarms and apartment emergency calls. Develops and maintains a good working rapport with residents, family members, visitors, and personnel to assure that security procedures meet the needs of the facility. Assists with special security needs as they arise; involving employees, visitors, and other members of the community. Provides written report of any community incident during the shift that Director of Plant Operations and other administration may need to be aware of. Maintains entrances of community for safe passage at all times. Sweeps, rakes and shovels, keeping the exit door walkways clear of debris and precipitation. Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by the supervisor. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy. Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have: - High School diploma or equivalent in training, education and experience
- Minimum one year experience in security preferred
- Experience in senior living environment preferred
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION OR OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: - Must possess current and valid driver's license consistent with the requirements determined by size of vehicle and laws of the state in which the driver is licensed
- Must possess personal driving record consistent with the requirements of the Driver Selection Policy
- Willingness to be available for any/all emergencies regarding the community
- Must have thorough understanding of all building systems and their interdependence
