The company's brand portfolio includes the leading brands Domino, C&H, Redpath, Tate & Lyle, Lyle's and Sidul.OverviewThe Packaging Technician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and dismantles packaging equipment and related equipment associated with the refinery.POSITION REQUIREMENTSMust be able to operate various packaging equipmentReports to Supervisor the general condition of equipment and recommends replacement when necessaryResponsible for machine and work area cleanlinessResponsible for keeping required records.Performs other duties as may be assignedWork from blueprints, drawings, sketches and verbal ordersUtilize his/her tools and equipment in a safe and proficient mannerDiagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on various types of packaging and related equipmentPerform repairs and tests on mechanical packaging equipment such as clutch assemblies, gear head motors, reduction drive units and high pressure glue pumpsStart themachine and observe the operation to detect malfunction(s) of the machineAbilityto work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtimeMust be thoroughly knowledgeable of measurement and weighing systemsMust be able to perform tasks wearing required PPE such as but not limited to protective footwear, clothing, safety glasses/goggles, etc.Reliable and Predictable In-Person Attendance; Able to work overtime on a daily and weekly basisAbility to:lift up to 50lbsuse hands and arms to reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and manipulate materials and toolswalk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, stoop, crawl, and climb constantly throughout the shiftreach, bend, twist, rotate, push and pull frequentlywork in confined spaceswork independently as well as a team playerclimb up and down laddersWORK EXPERIENCESPrevious experience as a Packaging Technician is preferred but not requiredExperience in PLC troubleshooting is also preferred but not requiredPay rate range Packaging Tech 1A $33.32; Packaging Tech 1 $35.40 position level will be determined based on experience and in-person assessment.We are an equal opportunity employer.
