Packager - Rockford Ball Screw : Job Details

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The purpose of this position is to assemble shipping containers and package products to be shipped to customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Review shipping documents and verify products to be shipped.
• Maintain working knowledge the various products shipped to specific customers.
• Prepare products to be shipped using appropriate packaging and shipping materials.
• Measure, cut and build shipping containers per shipping instructions.
• Create appropriate label for customer identification of shipped product.
• Prepare/Process Outbound UPS & FedEx Shipments
• Maintain or improve upon production standards.
• Report production time accurately and timely.
• Move ready-to-ship parts to shipping area using the appropriate equipment.
• Create and sign off on packing slips and routers when jobs are completed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

EQUIPMENT USED:

Table saw, nail gun, forklift, overhead crane

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Forklift truck training and certificate preferred

Experience:

• 3-5 years of packaging/shipping experience preferred
