PACKAGING & ASSEMBLYThe candidate will assist in the testing process and remove prepackaged items, unpack them, and reassemble them so that the test can be run multiple times.This is not a fast-paced or heavy-duty position. There may be downtime between tests, so the person should be prepared.A test machine packaging and assembly job may involve a variety of tasks, including:Operating machines: Starting and stopping machines, performing maintenance, and troubleshooting malfunctionsPreparing products: Sorting, grading, weighing, and inspecting products to ensure they meet specificationsPackaging: Applying labels, using packaging materials like glue and padding, and boxing itemsMaintaining records: Keeping track of materials and preparing progress reportsQuality control: Identifying and disposing of defective items, and reporting quality issues to supervisorsSafety: Following safety regulations and ensuring the work area is cleanCommunicating: Communicating with supervisors about irregularities and malfunctionsDocumenting: Documenting process changes and presenting project status to the teamThe specific responsibilities of a test machine packaging and assembly job may vary depending on the employer.
