Built on a foundation of trusted partnerships, Scientific Games combines relentless innovation, legendary performance, and unwavering security to responsibly propel the global lottery industry ever forward.Position SummaryThe primary responsibility of the Computer Technician is to provide high level technical support of the Packaging systems - configuration and installation of hardware, software, and other components, to maximize productivity of packaging operations.Job Duties / Key AccountabilitiesProvides software and hardware support including industrial Printers, Scanners, Vision Cameras, and sensors set up, testing, auditing, troubleshooting and installation.* Maintenance and repair of packaging equipment.* Maintain network equipment and manage network architecture.* Assist with disaster recovery, including planning and testing.* Work on projects as assigned including research, planning and implementation and report status updates as required.* Ensure that all software updates are current.* Prepare reports as required.* Maintain inventory of supplies and spare parts.* Prepare purchase requisitions and other documents as required.* Make cat5 network cables and any other cable as require.* Required to use multimeter to check network connectivity and low voltage.* Build and trouble shoot OPTO cabinet for vision system.* Must always display professional behaviour.* Follow 5S and LEAN concept as required.* Other duties as assigned.Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge* Four-year college degree; or combination of education and experience* Strong background in electronics and maintenance of computer and electronics equipment.* Good verbal and written communication skills* Ability to read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.* Ability to author reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customer, and the public.* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.* Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.* Ability to work independently or in large groups.* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in a mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.* Exceptional computer skills.QualificationsEducationMust have a high school diploma or equivalency.Years of Related ExperienceYears of experience 1 to 2 yearsPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
