Packaging Designer - Robert Half : Job Details

***This position is ONSITE 3 days/week in Morris County NJ***

Robert Half's client is looking for a Packaging Art Director for a 4-6 month project with the potential to convert full-time. This position is ONSITE 3 days/week in their Essex County office.

• Ideate and create visual packaging for pitching to retailers.
• Explore and design packaging solutions for a variety of configurations (boxes, hangtags, blisters, clamshells
• Create packaging with original artwork while considering cost factors and printing limitations.
• Art direct and plan photo shoots from start to finish working with outside photographers, stylists and helping to style photo shoots.
• Originate and design branding logos for use on packaging, commercials, and all collateral materials.
• The ability to retouch/color correct digital files OR to give clear direction to outside retouchers.
• Review print proofs for color & quality.
• Conduct market research, (store visits) keeping up with the latest packaging trends to share with the package design team and support your packaging concept.
• Knowledge of 4-color process, color theory, print production and an understanding of its limitations.
• 7+ years of professional experience, 3+ as an Art Director with a strong preference given to CPG packaging experience and a portfolio that demonstrates this.
