Momar is looking for aPackaging Lead!Momar, Inc., a privately owned specialty chemical manufacturing company based in Atlanta, GA, is currently seeking a Packaging Lead to join our Momar family.Reporting to the Packaging Supervisor, the Packaging Lead is responsible for assisting with the operations and supervision of all packaging activities of the Plant.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPack, weigh, and label finished products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.Operate packaging equipment effectively following company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain product quality and safety.Complete daily assigned assembly instructions and promptly submit reports to Packaging Supervisor.Monitor the attendance, unauthorized overtime, overall job performance, and efficiency of the packaging team, providing recommendations for corrective actions and procedure changes to the Packaging Supervisor when necessary.Hold the packaging team accountable for adhering to company policies, work rules, safety protocols, and material handling techniques.Collaborate with the Packaging Supervisor to prioritize and assign daily workloads to the packaging team, ensuring customer needs and satisfaction are met.Identify training needs for the packaging team and coordinate with the Packaging Supervisor to schedule and provide relevant training to Packagers.Assist the Packaging Supervisor in identifying staffing requirements, participating in applicant interviews, and selecting new team members.Maintain effective internal communication between inventory, batching, shipping, and customer service teams regarding product status, and promptly address any delays or changes in the batching schedule.Foster frequent communication among various personnel and departments, identify needs, prioritize tasks, and facilitate timely resolution of problems and questions.Complete other tasks and special projects as assigned by management.Required Skills/Abilities:Ability to operate a forklift.Self-motivated with ability to work independently and make decisions without supervision.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Education and Experience:High School Diploma or Equivalent2 years of relevant experience/on-the-job training.Physical Requirements:Ability to routinely lift and/or move to 50 lbs.Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle/feel items, reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk or hear.Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions.In compliance with the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA), VEVRAA, and Section 503, should you have a disability and would like to request an accommodation in order to apply for a currently open position with Momar, please email us at [email protected].
