Job DetailsJob LocationEugene, ORSalary Range$16.00 DescriptionJob OverviewPackaging Operators are primarily responsible for the bottling, canning, mobile canning, andkegging of Ninkasi beer through operation and maintenance of packaging line and kegging equipment, inventory, and handling of raw materials. Packaging Operators work a recurring schedule of three, twelve-hour shifts (day and graveyard), and may be required to rotate between day and graveyard shifts. Overtime is a requirement of the Packaging Team schedule, as production demands.At Ninkasi, we take our core values very seriously. QualificationsEssential Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrive to each shift on time with a positive attitude.
- Safely and efficiently operate bottling, canning, mobile canning, and kegging equipment.
- Manage the flow of packaging materials and finished product through the packaging process.
- Properly and safely CIP equipment and packaging lines.
- Maintain and/or implement new, efficient, and effective work methods and systems within the packaging process.
- Ensure adherence to security procedures in all operations.
- Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing departments to ensure supply levels are adequate to support daily and weekly schedule completion.
- Communicate regularly, respectfully, and efficiently with Ninkasi staff.
- Maintain all equipment in clean and proper working order.
- Record and report all pertinent production data consistently and accurately.
- Keep operating spaces clean and organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience: 1-2 years in a similar or related field.
- Must have reliable transportation (car, bus, bike, etc.)
- Ability to rotate between day and graveyard shifts, every three months.
- Ability to work overtime, as production schedules demand.
