Management will be screening heavily for the right candidate(s). Toledo Ice Cream has immediate job openings for well-versed Packaging Operators to perform an array of functions including sorting, packing correct quantities, and quality checks. Packers will be responsible for processing finished or raw materials, while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and communicating effectively with all departments and meeting daily deadlines.

OUR PACKERS FOR THIS POSITION MAKE:

  • $17.18 per hour with an increase to $19.72 after 90 days.

SCHEDULE: Mon-Thurs 10-hour shifts; 2nd shift

(Initial 90-day training will possibly be scheduled on 1st shift)

**Varies by company and governing CBAs

• Must have previous experience working in a plant production environment (food plant production environment strongly preferred).• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal.• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background, and criminal checks.• Must be able to push, pull, stand, walk, climb, crouch, and lift, up to 50 pounds.• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.• Must be able to be able to work in a wet environment.• May have some exposure to dust, fumes and cleaning chemicals.• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays.• May be exposed to nut allergens in ice cream plants (tree nuts - specific peanut allergies must be disclosed).

• High school diploma or GED preferred

UPDATE: Our December 2024 orientation class has been FILLED. Anyone that we contact for phone screens moving forward would be for the early January 2025 orientation class.
